Siam Amazing Park Bangkok: My First Roller Coaster, the Vortex Twice and Is It Worth the Ticket?
A full day at Bangkok's biggest amusement park: the Vortex suspended coaster (twice), the lion-mouth log flume, the giant wave pool, the halal food search, and the rides that were closed.

Siam Amazing Park is Bangkok's biggest amusement park, and it's where I rode my first ever roller coaster.
The Vortex, twice
The Vortex is a suspended coaster: your legs hang free and the track twists over your head. I was scared before the first ride and grinning after it. So I went again.
Chachu Waleed watched from the ground. He refused to get on.
The lion's mouth and the water park
- The log flume goes straight into a giant lion's mouth before the drop. You'll get soaked.
- The water park has big slides and a huge wave pool.
- There are dinosaurs and a whole area for kids, too.
What it cost
The full-day ticket worked out to about PKR 7,500 for us. In one short I complained that after paying 1,000 baht, a lot of rides were closed. That's my honest review: great when it's all running, poor value when it isn't.
Food inside
Finding halal food inside the park was difficult. Bring snacks, or eat before you go. My halal food in Bangkok guide has places to eat afterwards.
Is it worth it?
Yes, if: you love coasters and water rides and you go on a day when most rides are open.
Skip it if: your budget is tight or you mainly want culture. A day at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun costs much less.
Tips
- Check which rides are open before you buy.
- Go on a weekday to avoid queues.
- Bring swimwear and a change of clothes.
- Use a locker for phones and wallets.
